I just watched a pretty amazing doco on SBS about Saudi Arabia…US and Saudi’s united over communism . Both nations feared that communism would threaten the huge amounts of cash they were making from oil. As one person said in the documentary, the Saudis had spent generations living on camel milk and dates and there was no way they wanted to return to living on camel milk and dates. And the US? Well, I guess they wanted more cash…
