NOrfolk Island, here I am. Yeh, there is net access here - where is net access NOT available, I ask ya? (I'm not saying everyone has access to internet everywhere - this cafe I'm sure ius never really visited by locals). I am reading an account of the Idi Amin's reign in Uganda (nice holiday reading) and decided to check out the current situation there, by doing some net research. There are so many uganda sites served in uganda - but I can bet you that the access there is only available to the rich. But its there...

The holiday started with a whimper, as we arrived at Sydney airport at 5am in order to do the 2 hour check in required due to increased security. Our baggage was checked and then we went to tget a coffee. The public address system crackled to life, calling us back to the baggage check in. Our plane was not fit to fly, as a catering truck had crashed into it. They sent us to the airport Hilton, until the airline could get its shit together. I was mildly placated by food and a swim in the pool, but annoyed at not getting to Norfolk on Sunday morning.

We ended up flying out in the late arvo, for my brothers first ever plane trip. It was uneventful, but the clouds were hell gorgeous.

I arrived tired and cranky, as is my usual form, a bloody little ray of sunshine, me. A minibus collected us and took us to the accomodation. The supermarket closed in half an hour and we had no food in our house. We jumped in our hire car and sped down there, spending $90 bucks on several items. Its pretty expensive for food here, it all has to be imported, electricity is about 8 times the price....

my mum has just arrived ot pick me up...

outta here...
