I go to bed about 10.30pm, usually exhausted. I wear whatever I find to bed, though often I make the effort and wear my white, virginal nightie. Last night it was my new Knights Tshirt that I got for my birthday and a pad cuz I got my periods. So that also means daggy undies - though the ones I wore were pink satin. Hah!

To bed I take a bottle of water, for my dry mouth syndrome. Blocked nose at all times, means breathing through the mouth. Now if you do that all night, one gets a dry mouth, but also a nice gammy mouth in the morning. I hate it. I also take a toilet roll to bed - not because I may wet the bed but because of my ongoing nasal moisture problems! I constantly sneeze and sniffle. Tissues are for lightwieghts. In addition, my ventolin also comes to bed, for night wheezies.

Deanna, my cat, must come in at night. Leaving the cat outside is asking for a vet bill as this is the time they fight with other cats, or catch wildlife. Then she comes to my room and sleeps on my computer chair. Once the lights are out and I am nearly asleep, she leaves the chair and leaps onto the bed, finding a nice position in the doona. Usually, she ends up with half the bed.

I sleep on my side. Never my back or belly. I need two pillows or my back will really hurt in the morning.

At least once during the night, I will need to get up to go to the loo. This is due to the bottle-of-water-for-wet-mouth problem. It makes me need to whaz.

Last night I was also woken up by our two cats fighting through the screened window. One in, one out. Dickheads.

Mostly, I am the first one in the house that gets up - it has always been that way. I'm a morning style person. Usually it is before 8am. anything later is classed as a 'sleep in' for me. "Good Morning, Deanna" I say, and give her a morning pat.

Down the stairs I saunter. Go to the loo. Open back door for cats. Put kettle on. Make fresh coffee and feed cats. Back upstairs, turn on computer. Write in diary.
